It’s the image of the current prime minister which will go down in history: Theresa May in the cabinet signing the Article 50 letter, preparing to trigger the start of the UK’s formal withdrawal from the EU.
Naturally, Twitter quickly began speculating as to what the PM could possibly have written on the piece of paper as #WriteTheArticle50Letter quickly started to trend.

Now that Mrs May has formally triggered the two-year process of UK withdrawal from the EU, she declared it to be “an historic moment from which there can be no turning back.”
