A WOMAN left two pub goers needing stitches when she launched a pint tumbler across a busy bar after an Old Firm game.

Tiffany Davidson, 27, picked up the glass during an incident with another female and lashed out while being restrained.

Nicolle Glackin, 23, and Carla Penman, 24, were standing a number of feet away and were smacked by the item as it smashed off their faces.

Davidson was removed from Malones Pub on Sauchiehall Street last April 17 and arrested by police days later.

Davidson, from Bishopbriggs, plead guilty on Wednesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to culpably and recklessly throwing the glass that struck the girls.

She faced an alternative charge of assaulting the victims, but it was accepted by the court that she didn’t aim the glass at them.

Defence lawyer Linda Findlay said her client has never been in trouble and was unaware anybody had been hit by the glass until police turned up at her door stating: “She essentially panicked and didn’t know who all these people were who were around her.”

Sheriff Lindsay Wood continued the case until next month for reports and continued Davidson’s bail.

He told her: “You will need to face the consequences of this.”
