A kind-hearted Scots mum has started an online appeal to reunite a one-armed teddy bear with its owner after finding it at the side of a busy motorway.

Sally Judd, 42, from Perthshire halted her car on the A9 dual carriageway southbound between Blair Atholl and Pitlochry on Tuesday after seeing the lonely toy.

Urging people to share her appeal far and wide, Sally said: “Looks well loved so I’m sure there’s a little girl or boy out there absolutely in bits over the loss.

“We’ve given teddy some warm milk and she’s currently being pampered in the bath.

“She’s keen to get home though so please share this wherever you are as her owners could be anywhere in the UK because this area is a major tourist area.

“Let’s get teddy reunited with her owner.”

So far, the post has been shared close to 3,000 times since Tuesday - across Scotland and even as far as Costa Brava - but the owner of ‘Daisy’ has yet to come forward to claim the bear.

Sally added: “Thank you everyone for all your shares and lovely comments. Too many to reply to all individually sorry.

“No one claiming her yet but my daughter is taking good care of ‘Daisy’ and secretly hoping she stays with us I’m sure!”
