Restored to its former glory, the charming open-air Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre is hosting a four-day cinema extravaganza in the summer - and we cannot wait.

Summer nights in Glasgow cannot be beaten and, as well as a good mixture of some top films being screened, there will be street food, craft beers, and cocktails on offer for movie buffs to enjoy under a blanket of stars.

Monday June 5

The Grand Budapest Hotel (15) - 6.30pm
The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous hotel from the fictional Republic of Zubrowka between the first and second World Wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

Pulp Fiction (18) - 8.30pm
The lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster’s wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.

Tuesday June 6

The Big Lebowski (18) - 6.30pm
‘The Dude’ Lebowski - mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski - seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.

Braveheart (15) - 8.30pm
It put Scotland on the map 22 years ago with its cry of ‘FREEDOM!!’ when William Wallace was shown revolting against King Edward I of England after his secret bride was executed for assaulting an English soldier who tried to assault her.

Wednesday June 7

Superbad (15) - 6.30pm
Two high school seniors are forced to deal with separation anxiety after their plan to stage a booze-filled party goes wild. #McLovin - need we say more?

Labyrinth (U) - 8.30pm
A young Jennifer Connelly stars as Sarah who wishes away her baby brother Toby to the goblins, a wish that Goblin King Jareth (played by the late and great David Bowie) is only happy to fulfill.

Thursday June 8

Slumdog Millionaire (15) - 6.30pm
An Indian teen reflects on his childhood in the slums when he is accused of cheating in the country’s version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’

Trainspotting (18) - 8.30pm
1996 drama in which an Edinburgh heroin addict attempts to reform himself.
