A MAN has been sent to jail after he was found with drugs in his possession.
Mark James Devlin, 39, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after he plead guilty to two possession charges.
He accepted that he had Class A diamorphine in his possession, also known as heroin, on May 8, 2015.
The Procurator Fiscal depute told the court that the street value of the drugs was £300.
In a separate charge, he plead guilty to having Class B cannabis in his possession.
The Procurator Fiscal depute told the court that he had 0.1grams of the drug with a street value worth £5.
The drugs were discovered at his home address in Kirkintilloch’s Scott Wynd.
Devin’s defence agent told the court his client is a man who has dealt with drug misuse his entire adult life.
Sentencing Sheriff Ian H L Miller sent Devlin to jail for the heroin possession. He will spend 220 days in custody. He was admonished for the other charge.
