A CONVICTED murderer who slashed another prisoner with a razor blade has been jailed for three years and nine months.
John Dick, 24, will serve the new sentence at the end of his 15-year life tariff for murdering a 19-year-old friend in Kilsyth in 2012.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Dick admitted slashing 39- year-old Alexander Woodside twice on the face close to his right eye at Loss Moss prison, Bishopbriggs, on July 4, last year.
The court was told that Woodside is also serving life for murder. In 1998 he murdered a 16-year-old in the Croftfoot area of Glasgow.
