Rangers legend Richard Gough has found himself in the doghouse after throwing out his wife's clothes by MISTAKE.

The nine-in-a-row Ibrox captain and Lindsay Stenson-Gough embarked on a major declutter operation after moving home recently, but it seems Richard took things a little too far.

In an eager effort to rid himself of 11 years of 'stuff' he ended up giving his wife's luxury Lululemon yoga clothes to charity in error.

Lindsay posted on Facebook: "My freshly washed and folded running, cycling and yoga 'stuff' was nowhere to be seen! I searched every room, like a lunatic, just in case I'd randomly placed it somewhere and forgotten about it.

"Apparently not. In my husband's enthusiasm to donate, he accidentally scooped up the laundry basket with the charity bags.

Glasgow Times:

"I changed from zen/ minimalism to very western/ materialistic in a nano second.

"It was a basket full of Lululemon!!!.

"There were choice words and choked tears

"I'd given everything else away, I had no pants to wear!!!"

In an attempt to retreive some of her clothes, Lindsay rushed to the charity shop, but was left disappointed.

She added: "At 8am this morning I arrived at the charity store to try and retrieve my own clothing!

"I found 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of pants and....... Richard's speedo!."

Richards said: Well if you have read Lindsay Stenson-Goughs Facebook post you will understand my thinking!!

"I somehow don't think she will be asking me to help with the moving again."
