If you’re wondering why the hashtag #DoSomethingKind is trending on Twitter, prepare to be blown away.
As the world of football reels from the news ex-Rangers star Ugo Ehiogu has died at the age of 44, the footballer’s phenomenal last tweet is what’s spurned the Twitter trend.
Just three weeks ago, Ehiogu told his almost 13,000 followers: “Gave a homeless girl £10 last night in Dalston. She didn’t ask or beg.Random impulsive act from me. Not gona lie. Felt good. #dosomethingkind.”

Social media users have now started to retweet the message in memory of the player who died after collapsing at Tottenham’s training centre on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Ehiogu, who scored the winning goal – his first for the Ibrox club – in a 1-0 defeat of Celtic in 2007, had been overseeing the club’s under-23s.
