With cool and quirky stationery stores continuing to entice Glaswegians, the city is set to land another . This time, it’s another one of those super-cool and colourful Aussie retailers, Smiggle.

A play on the words ‘smile’ and ‘giggle’, the store has been a revelation since arriving in the UK February 2014. Now, Glasgow’s third branch is just one of the many new stores opening this year.

The bold and bright new shop in the Glasgow Fort is sure to win a legion of new followers with its treasure trove of quirky and exciting products.

Opening on Friday, April 28, the timing couldn’t be better as it’s National Stationery Week from April 24 to 30.

Managing director of the company, John Cheston, described how the team is “thrilled” to be opening again in Scotland’s biggest (and best) city.

He added: “There really is nothing like Smiggle anywhere else on the high street, and it’ll be great to see the public’s reaction when the doors open on April 28.

“It’s an amazing accomplishment to be opening our 100th store this spring and is a credit to the support of our UK fans that we’ve managed to hit this incredible milestone within just three years.”

Smiggle said it is dedicated to creating original, fun, and affordable products, including gifts for stationery lovers.

Glasgow shoppers will be able to choose from a whole host of funky products, focused on bold colour, quirky graphics, good value, and innovation.
