A MERE month after the start of British summertime, Scotland is set to experience wintry weather again.
Glasgow and Edinburgh should prepare as temperatures will drop below freezing.
Widespread frost is also expected across the country from Monday morning.
The chilly weather is set to continue into next week, despite the recent sunny spells.
Rain will die down by Thursday, however the risk of snow, sleet and hailstones will remain.
Meanwhile yellow warnings are in place up north and drivers should prepare for snow and sleet on Monday morning.
The wintry weather comes following Spring-like sunshine and warmer April conditions this week.
