Amid the great gourmet mac and cheese revolution which continues to entice carb fans, Glasgow’s very own festival dedicated entirely to the hearty dish is set to take place on Saturday, May 20.
The Evening Times had previously reported on how the event - dubbed ‘Pastaval’ - was set to hit the city sometime in May.
Now, though, pasta fans are able to save the date now that it’s been confirmed.
Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, May 1, with those who are signed up to the mailing list getting first dibs.

Fans of the creamy and cheesy goodness are being invited to head to Shawlands and help organisers find the best mac and cheese in the area as part of the Southside Fringe.
Organised by duo Mark and Emma, founders of the Foodie Explorers blog, the pair explained how the day will begin with participants picking up a pack from The Butterfly and The Pig South on Kilmarnock Road in Shawlands.
Then, using a provided map, attendees visit participating venues tasting delicious mac and cheese dishes.

Scorecards are provided so that notes can be made along the way which are then to be returned at the end of the day where visitors will be in for a chance to pick up some amazing prizes.
The winning venue will also be presented with a cheese trophy. Previous years’ winners were The Butterfly and The Pig South in 2015 and The Waverley Tea Rooms the year before that.
Tickets are £10 per person and are available to buy viafoodieexplorers.co.uk from May 1.
