A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a suspected minor chemical incident in Glasgow's Southside.
The alarm was raised in Govanhill's Victoria Road at around 6.20pm last night prompting a large emergency response.
Police Scotland confirmed a 26-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The force said there will be no further enquiries into the incident.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and The Scottish Ambulance Servicer were also in attendance.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 6:22pm on Monday, April 24, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a report of a chemical incident on Victoria Road in Glasgow.
“An Environmental Protection Unit and two fire appliances were immediately mobilised.
“One woman required medical attention from the Scottish Ambulance Service before being transferred to hospital.
“Firefighters worked with a scientific adviser to ensure the area was made safe before leaving the scene.”
