Talent coming out of Scotland has only got better and better in recent years. Now, four more Scots artists have rightly been inducted into the Tennent’s Golden Can Hall of Fame.
This week, the brewer has toasted the great and good of icons Mogwai, Jackmaster, Franz Ferdinand, and Hudson Mohawke.
All acts have received special golden cans as a tribute to their incredible musical talent and for flying the flag high for Scotland on the global stage.
The musical legends now join Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh as well as Biffy Clyro in the Golden Can Hall of Fame.

Welsh was presented the inaugural can in January ahead of the T2 Trainspotting premiere, with Biffy scooping theirs on the 15th anniversary of their debut LP Blackened Sky in March.
Post-rock veterans Mogwai, whose career spans 16 years and eight albums, said: “Tennent’s Lager is an iconic Scottish institution which has played a big part in our professional and social lives from the age of 18.
“To sit alongside Irvine Welsh, Biffy, and Hudson Mohawke is something we’re extremely proud of.”
Subclub, DC10, Fabric, Warehouse Project, and worldwide festival DJ legend Jackmaster, said: “I’m just a guy from Glasgow who plays records.”
“I’ve drunk enough of the product over the years, so really it’s about time I was awarded something,” he joked.
Glasgow’s Franz Ferdinand - who have sold over three million albums worldwide - said their golden can “looks great on the shelf next to all the empties.”

The group added: “We look forward to seeing who joins us. Maybe Limmy or Optimo? Orange Juice or Claire Grogan? Gregor Fisher or Alasdair Gray?”
Tennent’s has been heavily-involved in the Scottish cultural landscape for many years through various activities and initiatives across music, sport, and more.
Tennent’s has created the Golden Can Award to acknowledge other groups and individuals who have elevated Scotland’s cultural standing.
The brand said it will be handing out more golden cans over the coming weeks and months, so if you’ve got any suggestions for who should be next, let Tennent’s know on social media.
