Canadian superstar Shawn Mendes is continuing to be a good sport with his legions of Scots fans as they to flock to what’s believed to be his Glasgow hotel to catch a glimpse of the singer.

The 18-year-old ‘Stitches’ crooner, from Toronto, is in Scotland’s biggest (and best) city to kick off a 44-date world tour at the SSE Hydro on Thursday.

The Evening Times reported on Tuesday how starstruck young women were scrambling through the city centre to catch a glimpse of their idol - and it seems the hype isn’t letting up.

The pop hunk has since been snapped and videoed at spots around the city as social media goes into overdrive over his visit.

Mendes’ hit single ‘Treat You Better’ - from his second album Illuminate - was an instant hit, skyrocketing to the number-one spot in 36 countries and currently still proving popular almost a year after its release.
