I was introduced to the world of hot cloth cleansing just over a year ago after a long, unfruitful relationship with face wipes and Garnier Micellar Water.

Until recently, I have been using a facial oil from The Body Shop which, although is one of my favourite products, sometimes fails to make my skin feel super clean and still brings me out in the occasional spot.

I was pleased (unsurprisingly) when the chance to try Liz Earle’s famous Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser passed by desk.

One of my main requirements with skin care is that it is simple and Liz Earle’s product is just that.

All it requires is a few pumps of the plant based cream (with ingredients including eucalyptus and cocoa butter) onto a dry face, on top of make-up.

After gently massaging the cream into your skin, a quick polish with the muslin cloth doused in warm water dislodges dead skin cells and leaves skin clean and soft.

My only qualm with the product is that it doesn't remove my mascara - waterproof and non-waterproof - meaning I have refer back to my trusty face wipes to get my eye makeup off.

I think consistent use, morning and night, would likely reveal more groundbreaking results but for me, even in just a few weeks, I can feel a slight difference with my skin.

Patches of dryness and redness have partially disappeared and my foundation has been going on a lot better - even without pre-moisturising.

At the price of just £15.50, it’s definitely something I would recommend to anyone trying to improve or change up their skin routine.
