Glaswegians have been told to “look out the flip flops” next week as the city and its surround areas are in for a mini heatwave.
Meteorologist and STV weatherman Sean Batty has brought some much-needed good news to his 133,000 Twitter followers regarding next week’s outlook.
He said: “Look out the flip flops, especially if you’re in west. Looking good next week.”
And, as if that wasn’t enough, he added: “I reckon somewhere on northwest coast could get close to 20C.”
BBC’s weather outlook has backed-up the comments by providing its own insight.
The sun looks set to burst out from behind the clouds to bring us temperatures close to 17C.
We’re stocking up on the sunscreen as we speak.
