THREE new stores will open at Glasgow Fort this weekend.

Superdry, Smiggle and Mamas & Papas have all unveiled large, new-concept stores at the shopping centre in Easterhouse.

To celebrate, there will be special events running. From 11am to 3pm on Saturday, Superdry is treating its new customers to a DJ set by Killa Kela and Ami Carmine, nail art from Salute Nails, beard trimming from Rebel Rebel and coffee from Dear Green. The store reflects the design of its London Regent Street international flagship and will sell classic favourites, as well as a new sports line.

Mamas & Papas has relocated and upsized at Glasgow Fort, and now has a personal shopping suite for parents-to-be. Over the course of the weekend, it will be offering customers non-alcoholic Prosecco to enjoy while experts run 15 minute sessions on preparing for a baby.

Australian stationery brand Smiggle is dedicated to creating original, fun and affordable products and the Glasgow Fort store will stock everything from multi-coloured backpacks to eye-catching pencil cases to sparkly stationery.

Phil Goodman, Centre Director at Glasgow Fort, said: “Having three big-name openings in one weekend at Glasgow Fort is very exciting. We are continuing to evolve our offering and look forward to continuing to bring many more fantastic brands that our customers are going to love throughout 2017 and beyond.”

Glasgow Fort, which is open until 10pm on weekdays, has also announced it will soon become home to YO! Sushi, Pret a Manger, Thaikhun, Café Rouge, Paperchase and Tessuti in the coming months. Nando’s, Costa and JD Sports are upsizing their premises. It also recently welcomed Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Footasylum and Waterstones.

Phil Goodman added: “This is a very exciting time at Glasgow Fort and we are delighted to be building upon our already strong retail and leisure offering for our customers.”
