Multiplay Events and QD Events have teamed up to introduce ‘Insomnia X Resonate’ to Glasgow this summer, taking place from 21st -23rd July 2017.

The event will be Scotland’s biggest gaming festival and will bring together the very best of Insomnia and Resonate.

Insomnia is the UK’s biggest gaming festival, which continues to grow every year. Its 60th event – Insomnia60 – introduced live music acts to the festival in Birmingham during the Easter weekend and attracted over 50,000 visitors across the 4 days.

The first Resonate event took place in 2016, offering esports tournaments, YouTube talent, the Razer Bus and indie zones, with more than 6,500 gamers enjoying the event.

With both event organisers involved, Insomnia X Resonate is set to be the best Scottish gaming event to date. It will bring together publishers and exhibitors to showcase their latest releases at the Scottish Event Campus to a potential audience of 10,000 video gaming fans over the three days.

Andy Smith, Director of The Insomnia Gaming Festival, commented: “We’re delighted to be returning to Scotland, following a fantastic three days of video game celebrations in 2016, and teaming up with the Resonate team to deliver an even better event.”

Fran McIntyre, Director of QD Events, added: “We’ve got an incredible line-up of attractions and YouTube stars to announce in the coming weeks, set to make Insomnia X Resonate Scotland’s biggest gaming event of the year.”
