Celtic dished out one final dose of humiliation to Rangers as a 5-1 Ibrox win took them to within five games of a blemish-free domestic campaign.

Hoops fans lapped up every moment of this season's sixth and final Old Firm duel as Brendan Rodgers' troops - undefeated in the Ladbrokes Premiership and having won the Betfred Cup, with a Scottish Cup final to come - outclassed a feeble Gers line-up from start to finish.

Early goals from Scott Sinclair and Leigh Griffiths robbed Gers of any little belief they had left before Callum McGregor and Dedryck Boyata put the game out of reach. Kenny Miller pulled one back, but Mikael Lustig dealt the final blow.

At the other end of the table, Dundee moved out of the relegation play-off place and nudged Inverness a step closer to the drop with a 3-2 win at Motherwell.

Glasgow Times:

Goalmouth scrambles either side of half-time allowed Mark O'Hara and Marcus Haber to fire Dundee two goals in front and, although Louis Moult immediately pulled one back, O'Hara restored the visitors' two-goal cushion with a deflected strike.

Well were denied a goal even though Ben Heneghan's header appeared to cross the line and, although Chris Cadden then diverted Lionel Ainsworth's shot into the net, it was mere consolation.

That saw Motherwell replace Dundee in 11th place, seven points clear of Caley Thistle, who lost 4-0 to Highland rivals Ross County on Friday night and looked doomed.

Hamilton are level with Well on 32 points after losing 2-0 at home to Kilmarnock.

The opener came from Jordan Jones' corner, with Stevie Smith's shot blocked before Conor Sammon finished. Jones then netted the second in the 24th minute after Kris Boyd flicked on Luke Hendrie's throw-in.

Hearts earned a 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle thanks to a goal two minutes from the end of a dramatic second half.

Thistle took the lead when Kris Doolan was left unmarked to head home strike partner Steven Lawless' cross, but Isma Goncalves equalised from the penalty spot after Daniel Devine was sent off for handball.

Lawless soon restored the 10 men's lead with a fine finish from a narrow angle, but Hearts' Andraz Struna had the final say with a close-range finish two minutes from time.

Celtic's lead stands at 27 points after Aberdeen were defeated by two St Johnstone goals in the last 10 minutes.

Danny Swanson was the inspiration for Saints, curling in an excellent opener before setting up substitute Craig Thomson to make it 2-0.
