A MERCHANT City boozers has announced it is to close its doors.
MacGregors Pie & Ale Howff made the announcement citing that they were unable to secure a long term future with the new landlord of the building where their premises is based.
The pub, which is on Blackfriars Street, describe themselves as urban local bar specialising in Scottish real ales, craft beers, whisky and a huge array of home-made pies.
In a statement, the pub said: "Unfortunately due to a change in the ownership of the building and being unable to secure a long term future with the new landlord we have regrettably decided to close MacGregors Pie & Ale Howff.
"Thank you for your support and custom since we opened, and we hope to return at a new location in the near future."
Customers expressed their disappointment over the news.
Robert Foxx said: "Devastated! Glad we made it in for pie two days in a row last week. Best of luck for finding a new howf."
Joseph Pakenham added: "Very sad, spent some good evenings here. Good luck with your future offerings."
