Folk in the West End of Glasgow have always had a bit of a reputation for marching to the beat of their own drums as they thrive in their own little bubbles of creativity and unique artistry.

However, it seems things in that section of the city may have just been taken too far this week as the lines between reality and fantasy have been blurred.

A Twitter user, who was enjoying this week’s warm temperatures in Kelvingrove Park, posted a short video clip we can’t seem to stop watching.

The user, @Dmc1872, captured a group of young people playing Quidditch in the park - on their own broomsticks.

Doesn’t look like they were taking the mick, either, as they get right into the game which came straight from the mind of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

The lad encapsulated everyone’s thoughts perfectly (almost) by captioning the video: “We’re doon Kelvingrove tannin Glen’s vodka & these c***s are playing Quidditch wae fake broom the lot.

“People make Glasgow.”

That they do. That they most certainly do.

So far, the post has received close to 3,500 retweets and likes and countless more comments from awe-struck people.

“Nae wonder ye need a bevvy,” said one user, as another added, “What a day. Bangers were out.”
