Police have launched an investigation after a man stole a five-figure sum of cash from a Lanarkshire theme park.
At 2.55am on Tuesday the man broke in to the main building at M&D's in Motherwell and made off with the money.
He then ran off in the direction of the loch within Stratchclyde Park.
Officers say the man responsible was wearing dark coloured clothing and had his face fully covered during the incident.
Sergeant Neil MacLeod of Wishaw Police Office said: "Our enquiries are continuing today into the theft and to identify and trace the man responsible.
“At this time I would urge anyone who was in the area of Strathclyde Park around the time of the incident in Tuesday morning, who may have seen this man acting suspiciously or maybe saw a vehicle in the area to come forward to officers, as their information may be vital to this enquiry.”
Any information can be passed to Wishaw Police Office through 101, quoting reference number 0500 of May 9.
