A new tour is allowing guests to explore the recently revamped South Rotunda of the old Clyde Tunnel.

The iconic Glasgow landmark was recently brought back to life by marine engineering firm Malin Group.

It will open for exclusive behind the scenes tours in aid of Ethiopia Medical Project (EMP) on June 17.

Now completely sold out, visitors will be able to come and see how the 150-year-old building, which was once the southern entrance to three tunnels under the River Clyde, has been restored.

The tunnels themselves have been mostly filled in and unfortunately offer no access.

There are five behind the scenes tours during the day, each to be followed by tea, coffee and cakes to those who were lucky enough to get in.

All proceeds will go to EMP, a charity run by two women from Glasgow which supports a woman's clinic in Ethiopia.

More information can be found here. The venue has said it is looking at possibly running more tours due to high demand, although this has not yet been confirmed.
