SCOTS comedian Limmy has been labelled "a disgrace" online after joking about his "pleasurable" meeting with Moors murderer Ian Brady.

In a now deleted tweet put out late on Monday night, Limmy - who has caused controversy with previous tweets saying the Queen was dead and referring to the assassination of Donald Trump - said of the Scottish murderer: "Had the pleasure of meeting Ian Brady at a charity do once.

"He was surprisingly down to earth and VERY funny."

In a later post, he also said: "I went to the same primary school as Ian Brady. Carnwadric Primary. I've heard he was in Shawlands as well, moved about. Psycho from Day 1."

Followers online were quick to show their anger and disappointment at the messages.

Oli Moore said: "I think this is even too far for you Limmy."

Daniel Piper added: "I'm sure you wavered for a moment before pressing tweet, and in this case I think you made the wrong decision. Love the others though."
