Torrential rain and a clap of thunder put an end to the spell of good weather as people across Glasgow were caught in an unexpeced downpour.
The pcitures below were taken in the West End of the city around 6pm today and capture just how heavy the unexpected rain was.

The wet conditions show no signs of stopping just yet, as more unsettled wet and windy weather is set to continue into the weekend with a risk of thunderstorms.
