On Friday, the ex-Radio Clyde star told how her “nightmare” was finally over after she walked free from court for threatening to kill her former husband and his girlfriend.

The mother-of-four had phoned Derek Mitchell and launched a tirade of abuse at him and his then partner, Lana Hunter.

Ms McGuire was arrested following the phone row and spent three nights in the cells after he complained to police about the call.

On Saturday, she took to her Facebook page thanking everyone for their messages and offered support of her own to anyone in a similar situation, posting: "Following my story today in the press, I've had lots of private messages from poor souls trapped in fear, confusion and pain.

"Grown men and women bullied.

"If this is you, please know you deserve more from life.

"Stand tall and your soul will speak when your voice falters. Trust in truth. Trust in goodness. Believe that love conquers all.

"I promise all will come good. Your voice is being heard. You are worthy. And your cries for help are heard."

She also encouraged everyone to be kind and forgiving before listing a few well-being and support organisations - Breathing Space, Women's Aid and Assist.
