A TEENAGE girl has died following a road crash at the weekend.
Asten Jones, 18, has died following the crash in Kilmun, Argyll at around 1.20pm on Sunday, May 21.
She was driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A815 at Kilmun, when it appears that the vehicle lost control and collided with a Vauxhall Vectra being driven by a 47-year-old man.
Emergency services attended, and she was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she later died.
Relatives are aware.
The driver of the Vauxhall Vectra was uninjured.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Paul MacPherson of the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Dunoon is appealing to any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with information that may assist their investigation to contact Dunoon Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 2049 of 21 May.
