NEW Hearts signing Christophe Berra has been handed the captain's armband on his return to Tynecastle.
The Scotland international clinched a move back to his boyhood club on Tuesday and will immediately take over skipper duties from midfielder Perry Kitchen.
Berra, 32, penned a three-year deal in Edinburgh after leaving Ipswich Town with the intention of moving north to spend more time with his family.
The defender previously captained the Jambos during his first spell at the club, which ended in 2009 when he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
