A pensioner with dementia who had gone missing from his nursing home has been found.
Thomas Mahoney, 65, was last seen at the Hogganfield Nursing Home on Royston Road around 6.50am today.
He was reported missing an hour later by care home staff and a search had been launched.
However, his daughter Tracey Mahoney has now confirmed on Facebook: “Dad has been found today at 15:50pm.
“Thank you to everyone for the shares and support.”
Police helicopters had been deployed, and transport firms had been notified along with the British Transport Police.
