A wheelchair-bound Manchester woman who was caught up in the panic following the explosion in the city arena has found the two men who carried her to safety following an online appeal.

After the bomb exploded in the foyer killing 22 on Monday night, the remaining audience members in the concert venue began to run for the exits in a state of fear and confusion just as pop star Ariana Grande finished her set.

Klicea-Nicole Richardson was with her boyfriend and two friends who were struggling to carry the 20-year-old down a lot of stairs as they tried to flee the building.

However, two men in the venue saw the four in need and rushed to scoop her up to safety before running off into the night.

The following day, Klicea urged her Facebook followers to share her appeal to trace both men down as far and wide as possible.

She said: “I would like to say a big thank you. You were a big help. Not many people would have done what you did. Please share this post so I can find the men that helped me.”

However, this afternoon, the Mancunion was proud to announce she has since traced both.

Posting an image of them, Klicea said: “These are the two heroes that came to our rescue on Monday night’s horrific attack at the Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.

“Saying thank you just doesn’t seem enough - they saved my life. True heroes. I don’t even have words to describe how grateful we all are.”
