Neil Lennon has described the Lisbon Lions as the 'greatest team' in the Celtic's history during an anniversary show in Glasgow.
The former Hoops captain was at the Hydro tonight along with thousands of fans, current and former players including original Lisbon Lions who are celebrating the anniversary of their 1967 victory in Portugal.
Speaking to the Evening Times, Mr Lennon said: "I actually sat down and watched the game, and I didn't realise how great a performance it was.
"They are greatest iconic team in Celtic's history and this greatest night for the club on the back of what has been a fantastic season as well."
Joining Mr Lennon backstage were a range of famous Celtic fans and football legends including Sir Alex Ferguson, Saneev Kohli, John Hartson and Lisbon Lions Bertie Auld, John Fallon and Jim Craig.
Sir Alex Ferguson commented on the Manchester attacks after arriving at the Hydro.
The former Manchester United manager said: "There are some fantastic people there.
"They will get together, they have been through some difficulty in the past the bombing of Arndale centre [for example and] they recovered from that. There is a great unity now in the city.
"I think United last night gave the city a lift."
