Two food and drink fanatics are gearing up for a city brewing festival.
Michelle Russell, director of North Hop and Richard O’ Brien, of Glasgow’s microbrewery Out of Town Brewing, soaked up the sunshine at SWG3 ahead of next month’s culinary extravaganza.

North Hop, a roving food and drink event, will take place at SWG3 in Yorkhill on June 16 and 17.

The summer mash-up will present a feast of new drinks, street food and music as well as live demonstrations by Great British Bakeoff Star-turned brewer James Morton.

James, who is an NHS doctor, as well as a partner in Glasgow-based Out of Town Brewing, will be showing craft beer lovers how they can brew their own beer, from mashing to fermentation.

Richard O’Brien said: “We are very excited about the live brew demo.

“It’s a lengthy five hours long process so James will be doing one demo on the Saturday afternoon session and a show-and-tell during Friday and Saturday night’s sessions.

“We’ll be brewing a smash beer and James will talk people through the process, giving top tips on technique, necessary equipment and how to do it without breaking the bank.

Up-and-coming musicians are also due to perform, including Saturday headliners Foreignfox.

We Came From Wolves will headline the Friday night’s session.
