WEST End vintage clothing specialists Starry Starry Night will be in the spotlight at a charity fashion show.
The event has been organised as part of a continuous drive to encourage more shoppers to support local businesses in the Byres Road area.
Models from the The Model Team will be showcasing outfits from independent boutique Jasmine, Ruth Swan jewellery, Fat Face, Just For You and Oxfam.
Starry Starry Night has been furnishing students from nearby Glasgow University with vintage wear for more than 30 years, with clothing dating back to the Victorian and Edwardian era.
Half of the ticket sales from the shows will go to charities that have stores on Byres Road. There will also be live music and a Prosecco bar.
The event was launched last year by the Byres Road and Lanes Business Improvement District, the organisation behind Visit West End.
David Howat, Chairman of the Visit West End, said: “It’s great to support local charities and our fashion weekend is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the unique collections and pieces that can be found right here in the West End.
“Support your local shops, buy a ticket and join us for a weekend of fashion, fizz and fun. You won’t regret it.”
Anna Graham, owner of Starry Starry Night said: “
The fashion shows are taking place at Hillhead Library on Friday June 3 and Saturday, June 4.
Tickets cost £5 and include a glass of fizz and are available from www.bit.ly/2rM8a2j
The Byres Road & Lanes Business Improvement District (BID) is an initiative that aims to improve the economic vitality of Byres Road, promoting the area within and beyond the city, and improving the quality of the visitor experience.
