THE SNP’s opponents said the party’s manifesto has made it clear the top priority is another independence referendum.

Labour said on the NHS and using powers to tackle austerity the SNP have failed.

While the Tories said that the SNP failed to provide any positive reasons for voting for the party.

Kezia Dugdale, Scottish Labour leader said the majority of Scots do not want another referendum.

She said: “Nicola Sturgeon can talk about opposing austerity all she likes, but the reality is that the SNP has cut £1.5billion from local services like schools and care of the elderly.

“She can talk about a 50p top rate of income tax all she likes, but the reality is that the SNP voted against this in the Scottish Parliament.

“She can talk about protecting the NHS all she likes, but health services have been cut, patients have been failed and staff are underpaid.”.

Ms Davidson said that Nicola Sturgeon was trying to ignore independence in her speech but pushing for it in her manifesto.

The Tory Scottish leader said that was the First Minister’s “usual trick”.

She said: “Strip away the bluster and it’s written down in black and white she wants to drag Scotland back to another referendum by as early as next Autumn.”

She said that would “cost jobs, and risk our economy.”
