THE Scottish LibDems launched their General Election manifesto looking to add to their sole MP north of the border.

Willie Rennie party leader said the LibDems was a vote to change direction of the country.

He said the LibDems were opposed to “another divisive referendum and to a “damaging hard Brexit

The LibDem manifesto includes scrapping the public sector pay cap, scrapping the two child tax credit limit and keeping the pensions increase triple lock.

The party wants to se £100bn of spending on infrastructure across the UK, with a proportionate share coming to Scotland.

Mr Rennie said: “This is the chance to change the direction of the country and to build a brighter future.

“We can turn away from another divisive independence referendum and a damaging hard Brexit

“Together, the plans provide a long term, sustainable and successful Scotland, inside the UK.

“Central to this is the mounting evidence that the SNP are distracted by independence. They have taken their eye off the ball on public services. They have let down the people who voted for them.

“We will keep the pressure on them to get back to the job they were elected to do in the Scottish Parliament.

“The starting point is simple.

“It means no independence referendum. Full stop.”
