THE best of the Scottish Home Improvements trade will be celebrated at an awards show which takes place in Glasgow next month.

Interior design guru and TV personality John Amabile will host the third annual Scottish Home Improvement Awards at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Friday, June 16.

Over 20,000 votes have been cast to find the best of Scotland’s home improvement trade - with competing businesses whittled down by public vote to create a list of favourites.

This year, the competition has received more nominations and votes than ever before with over 1,000 businesses taking part and finalists have been announced in 20 categories.

It is now down to the individual firms to impress the independent panel of industry experts.

The gala final will then see the coveted trophies handed out during a night of celebration for the industry and over 500 guests are expected to attended the event.

The 2017 Scottish Home Improvement Awards are partnered with a number of relevant businesses and associations including The Scottish and Northern Irish Plumbing Employers Federation (SNIPEF), The National Institution of Carpet and Floorlayers (NICF), Skills Development Scotland, The Ideal Home Show, Arnold Clark and The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI).

Scottish Home Improvement Awards founder and CEO, Warren Paul, is humbled by the enthusiasm shown for the awards.

He said: "Coming from a family who all worked in the industry it is fantastic to see so many members of the public show their support for Scotland’s best businesses. I am thankful to the voters, competitors and partners, all of whom make it possible to reward exemplary work."

The Scottish Home Improvement Awards were created to showcase and reward outstanding work within the industry. Categories include Best Architect Firm, Best Interior Design Company and Best House Builder among many others in the trade.
