LibDem leader Willie Rennie said People are “just fed up with the SNP.”
He said his party can beat the SNP in marginals across the country and top a second referendum.
Mr Rennie said:”They want to put an end to the constant threat of another divisive independence referendum and see this election as a big opportunity to achieve that.
He made an appeal to Labour and Tory voters to back LibDems in seats like East Dunbartonshire.
He added: “Traditional Labour and Conservative voters know that we can stop the SNP with their plans for another referendum and are prepared to put aside their differences with us to ensure a change of MP.
“A victory for the Liberal Democrats in these marginal seats could cancel another independence referendum before it even starts.”
