LIAM Gallagher has branded Scotland star Leigh Griffiths as 'almost as cool as him'.
The former Oasis frontman mentioned the Celtic striker during first solo gig at the Barrowlands last night.
Gallagher described Griffiths as the "geezer who scored the two goals" when talking about Saturday's Scotland v England draw.
He added that Griffiths was almost as cool as him during the sell-out gig at the East End venue.
The star was also met by boos when he mentioned the match and joked that Scotland were lucky.
Gallagher is known for supporting Manchester City.
Last night's show was his first showcase of his debut solo album. He also played new single Wall of Glass, and Oasis' hits Live Forever. Morning Glory and Slide Away.
