We all need a bit of light relief now and then and two young Edinburgh women have provided just that after they filmed themselves attacking an innocent policeman - with hoses.
Uploaded onto Facebook by local woman Stephanie Ellis, who was with her mate Tasha Murray, Stephanie said in the hilarious post: “The one day a year we get to soak the police and get away with it! We took full advantage.”
The video shows the cop on his bike on a busy road waiting at traffic lights. The women laugh themselves silly as they completely soak him in the 11-second clip and, being the good sport that he is, he takes it.
But before you go and try the same, the stunt came as part of the annual Edinburgh Taxi Trade Outing in aid of sick kids where the capital’s cab drivers donate their time and money to take young people for a colourful day out at the seaside.

The copper probably wishes the girls had pulled the stunt on him last year, though, as Stephanie said: “Was awesome! This year we had hoses compared to last year we only had water guns.”
