THESE adorable tots from Chesters Nursery are having their first taste of academic success.

The nursery youngsters are about to make the leap to primary one.

And so they held a special nursery graduation ceremony at Glasgow Caledonian University, which even involved being piped into their ceremony by a kilt clad piper.

The nursery is part of a scheme run by the university to encourage children from less affluent backgrounds to think of higher education as something they can go on to achieve.

But nursery graduations are also happening right across the city and beyond.
