A TEENAGER who robbed his mum’s work of cash and CCTV equipment has been tagged.

Gerald Lynch’s mother was working in The Vital Spark pub, on Govan Road, on December 22, 2015, when she left a note in the till explaining that she had taken her wages.

That night, the pub was robbed of the day’s takings and CCTV equipment.

After returning the next day and discovering that the shutters were broken, 18-year-old Lynch’s mother suspected that her son was responsible.

When police attended his home address on Kennedar Drive, in Govan, a quantity of money bags, the CCTV equipment and the note his mother had left, was found. The money was never recovered.

Lynch appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to the charges.

Sheriff Platt described the event as “nasty” and tagged him for three months.
