A FUN day has been postponed in Knightswood due to the weather.
The Gala Committee of the Knightswood Park Fun Day confirmed that tomorrow's event will be rescheduled at a later day.
The organisers cited windy weather conditions as the reason for postponing the event.
A spokesman for the group said: "The Gala Committee have, over the course of the last week, been monitoring the weather conditions for Saturday because we have to be aware of the wind speeds due to the tents and marquees we would be using on the day.
"Unfortunately, there are predicted to be wind gusts up to 45mph, which, we have been advised, mean that it would be unsafe to erect the tents and marquees in those conditions.
"The Gala Committee have decided, therefore, in the interest of safety, that the fun day will not take place on June 24 as previously planned.
"A new date will be found for the fun day to take place and this will be circulated.
"We are sorry for any disappointment that this decision may cause, but the weather and advice was such that we could not allow the fun day to go ahead."
