A MAN hurled sectarian abuse as and headbutted a police officer after a friend asked him to leave his flat.
Daniel Bradley was sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he became hostile to the officers.
The court heard that the 20-year-old called officers “H** b******s” and other remarks.
He then assaulted an officer after he was restrained by police at the City Centre Police Station.
Bradley admitted that on January 29 at Nelson Mandela Place he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner by repeatedly shouting, swearing and uttering abusive remarks.
He also admitted that on the day date at Glasgow City Centre Police Station he acted in an aggressive manner and made threatening, abusive, racial and sectarian remarks.
He also admitted that he assaulted a police officer by spitting at him on the same date at the police station.
The 20-year-old also admitted assaulting an officer by headbutting him.
Bradley’s solicitor said his client was asked to move out of the flat he was staying in.
This caused him distress which lead him to drink too much alcohol.
Bradley, of Main Street, Bridgeton, was sentenced to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
He was also admonished for two other charges relating to failure to appear in court.
