A MAN was arrested for allegedly drink-driving after crashing and flipping a car onto its roof.
The 25-year-old driver was found by police in a BMW on Springfield Road, Barrhead, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
As reported by Barrhead News, after failing a roadside breath test, the man, who was not seriously injured, was arrested.
Sergeant Michael Morganthaler, who is based at Giffnock Police Station, said the incident was reported about 1.20am on Sunday, that police identified the driver on arrival and that the driver then failed a roadside breath test.
Sergeant Morganthaler added: “He was subsequently arrested and conveyed to Cathcart Police Office.
“We’re currently awaiting the results of further tests.
“There doesn’t appear to have been any other persons involved in the road accident and there were no significant injuries.”
