Celtic Football Club have won a stadium award for their safe standing section.

Awarded at the Stadium Business Awards 2017, Celtic won the award for the stadium that has delivered consistently outstanding levels of service and fan experience at every stage of the customer journey.

The club were the first club in UK to impliment rail seats to enhance spectator safety for standing fans in 2016.

The project was the culmination of six years’ work by the pioneering club which has made clear its intention of letting fans stand again – in safety – to improve the atmosphere.

The winners of The Stadium Business Awards 2017 were announced last night at Croke Park.

Now in their eighth year, The Stadium Business Awards are the only awards to recognise a whole spectrum of achievements from across the global stadium industry.

The awards ceremony took place during The Stadium Business Summit at Croke Park, Dublin, in front of an audience of senior industry figures.
