SINGING sensation Susan Boyle was attacked by a gang of youths, according to reports.

The Britain's Got Talent star, who suffers from Asperger Syndrome, is said to have been 'hounded' by a group of 15 young people who stay near her in Blackburn, West Lothian.

Witnesses say that the gang, made up mainly of boys, threw a flaming piece of paper at the 56-year-old and pelted stones at the bus she was riding on.

The abuse is said to be getting so bad that the star's representatives are considering calling the police to ensure her safety.

According to the Mirror, there are claims that they called her an 'old ugly b****' at the Mill Centre shopping mall.

A witness told the paper they attacked the bus she was riding on and said: "They were throwing stones, screaming and shouting things.

"Another time 10 to 15 of them were surrounding and throwing stuff. They lit a piece of paper and threw it at her face."

Neighbours are also said they have also been intimated by the gang aged between 16 to 18-years-old.

One woman claims they racially abused her and threw a bottle which nearly hit her on the head.  She said: "They pick on the most vulnerable people. If there is more than one person they won't do it – because they are too scared."

Boyle became an international star after appearing on Britain's Got Talent in 2009 and has amassed a fortune said to be around £22 million.

During the same year she splashed out £65,000 to buy the three-bedroom former council house in Blackburn where she grew up.

The following year she bought a five-bedroom £300,000 new-build detached villa at the other end of the small town which she calls The Posh House, however she is said to only use it for storage purposes.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the force had "no comment to make" on the reported incidents.
