Rangers WAG Steph Wallace has shared a touching post on social media ahead of the team’s return to the European scene after a six-year exile on Thursday.

The wife of captain Lee Wallace posted an image onto her Facebook of her husband in his first game for Rangers back in 2011 in what was a tie against Swedish team Malmö.

Snapped alongside the likes of Steven Naismith and Steven Davis, a proud Steph wrote: “Lee’s first game for Rangers and a Champions League Qualifier against Malmo.

Glasgow Times:

“Since then he has been to the third division and back up and on Thursday their first European game in 6 years.

“What makes it even more special is we have finally been able to buy the boys their kits and they will both be at Ibrox to cheer on their Daddy!!

“Absolutely buzzing!!!!”

Steph’s post was shared on a Rangers Facebook fan page, Ibrox Loyal, late on Sunday night with the caption: “Lee Wallace’s wife. I love reading things like this, buzzing for you and the family Steph!”

The post has since gone down a storm with users of the site, having garnered thousands of reactions, shares, and comments.

Rangers are set to take on Luxembourg team Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox on Thursday night.

Victory for the Gers over Progres would set up a clash with AEL Limassol or St Josephs from Gibraltar, but manager Pedro Caixinha will take nothing for granted in these early rounds as his side look to hit the ground running on their European return.
