SCOTTISH Power will today begin their investigation after hundreds of residents were hit with a power cut in the Govan area which was caused by a fire at an electricity distribution box.
The firm said that the power has now been restored to residents living in the G51 and G52 postcode.
Their probe comes after an electrical junction box went on fire prompting an emergency response.
Firefighters rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze and Scottish Power were alerted to the fault at around 6.30pm on Monday.
It is understood that the firm will liaise with Police Scotland once their investigation is complete.
