A HEALTH board has launched a probe after cracking appeared on a window pane at Glasgow's super hospital.
Medical staff rushed to cordon off the area below the cracked window at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Monday night.
The health board confirmed no one was hurt and contractors worked quickly to resolve the issue.
A spokesman for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said: "Cracking appeared in a window pane at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital last night.
"As soon as it was identified, staff cordoned off the area below the window to ensure the safety of pedestrians below. Our staff and the contractor then removed the glass from the window pane.
"No one was hurt and an investigation is now underway to identify what caused the crack."
Last month, a large piece of glass cladding fell from near the top of the hospital.
Engineers were instructed to investigate the fault in the window and no one was hurt.
