When Crowded House famously sang “everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you,” we didn’t think Celtic would take their lyrics literally - but that’s just what happened in Austria today.

The Bhoys yesterday jetted off to their Austrian training camp in Aigen to prepare for the upcoming friendly matches there.

They’re also getting geared up for games in the Czech Republic and Ireland before the season gets underway in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

While training today, though, the team seems to have taken Glasgow’s weather with them to Aigen.

The team’s official Twitter page shared a set of images of the guys training in the pouring rain in what was originally forecast to be a warm day with sunny intervals.

Typical.

“#CelticFC have brought the Glasgow weather with them to Aigen! #HereWeGoAgain,” reads the caption.

Speaking with the media at Glasgow Airport before jetting off yesterday, assistant manager Chris Davies said: “We’ve had a year working with the players and developing the areas that we wanted to when we first came in, so we’re in a good place,” reports Celtic FC.

“Hopefully we can go away to this camp and refocus together and come back stronger,” he added.
